Looked After Children / Children in Public Care

In accordance with the Education (Admission of Looked after Children) (England) Regulations 2006, when the criteria enumerated above are applied, Catholic looked after children will be given priority over other Catholic children, and looked after children who are not baptised Catholics will be given priority over other non-Catholic children. Looked After Children will have the same meaning as in Section 22 of The Children’s Act 1989 – any child in the care of a Local Authority or provided with accommodation by them; e.g.: children with foster parents.
