The Friends Fundraising Activities
The Friends may use many different methods to fundraise and rely on the school community's support and involvement. You can raise money by the following activities, further details of which are set out below:
- Donating items for and attending the school fairs, cake sales and uniform sales
- Recycling packaging and clothes
- Playing the school lottery
- Shopping online via Give as you Live
- Registering for ad hoc grants or donations to the school
- Donating directly to the Friends via the bank account
If you have any other ideas to raise funds for the Friends to support the pupils then please speak to your class representative or any member of the Friends Committee.
Events
The Friends organise various events throughout the year to raise funds as set out on the Friends of St Martin's page. Your contributions and attendance helps to support this vital fundraising.

Uniform Sales
Please donate your used branded uniform (jumpers, cardigans, PE kit, bags, coats and hats) for the Friends to sell. All non-branded items can be placed in the big blue fabric bin.
Big Blue Fabric Bin
Through Kids Just Recycle, our Big Blue Fabric Bin raises hundreds of pounds for St Martin of Porres every year. So please keep filling it up with clean, dry fabrics (a list of what can and cannot be put in the bin is on the side.
Ferrero Rocher and Kinder packaging
We recycle:
- Ferrero Rocher packaging and
- Kinder packaging
with Terracyle to keep things out of our landfill and raise money for our school. Please put clean items in the grey wheelie bin by the sheds.

School Lottery
The Friends of St Martin's has launched a School Lottery to help raise much needed funds for the School.
- Tickets cost just £1 per ticket, per week and 40% of all ticket sales are donated to our school.
- A GUARANTEED cash prize to someone on our supporter list every week
- A further chance of winning £25,000 in a separate draw EVERY WEEK!
- Draws are every Saturday at 8.00pm and results are posted online.

Movement for Good
Every year, the Benefact Group of Insurers runs Movement for Good, in which they donate £1000 each to a range of charities - including school PTAs!
