posted 12 Feb 2018, 07:49 by St Martin of Porres   [ updated 12 Feb 2018, 07:56 ]

We have noticed that a number of children are regularly arriving late to school. All children should arrive before the gates to the playground close at 8:55am. This enables the register to be called at 9:00am and lessons to start at 9:05am. If one child is late the learning for all the other children in their class can be delayed.

During the week after half term the senior teachers will standing at the top gate and will be noting down the names of children arriving at school later than 8:55am. We are sure that, with the slightly brighter mornings, there will not be too many names to record.

With more children using technology at a younger age than ever before Thinkuknow are developing a resource to help educate 4-7 year olds about staying safe online. Thinkuknow is the education programme from the National Crime Agency. It aims to empower children and young people aged 5-17 to identify the risks they may face online and to know where they can go for support. The team at Thinkuknow would like to hear your views about what your child does online to understand how best they can support their education. You can help them with their research by logging onto . The survey only takes a few minutes to complete but will help the team design a valuable resources that we can use in schools and at home.
